Martin Odegard has urged Borussia Dortmund superstar forward Erling Haaland to join Arsenal this summer.
The Norwegian is set to become one of football’s hottest properties this summer when a £68million release clause on his contract kicks in and top clubs from across Europe including Manchester City and Real Madrid are vying for his signature. Arteta’s three-month plan
Martin Odegaard has opened up on Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s exciting three-month plan for his development.
Arteta has previously spoken on Norwegian television about the work he is doing with Odegaard on the training ground – and explained that it could take more than three months to see improvements. And the player has now explained how he’s working “on small details every day” under the Gunners boss.
And he also talked up his manager’s knowledge as he explained there’s “always something to learn from him”.
Ferdinand sends Jesus message
Rio Ferdinand has said Gabriel Jesus will “get goals” if he signs for Arsenal this summer.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is set to target at least two forwards in the summer transfer window with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah looking increasingly likely to depart the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season. Reports have linked Arteta with a reunion with City forward Jesus, who he worked with at Manchester City.
And Manchester United legend Ferdinand is clearly in no doubt that the move would be a success if it does go through.
Odegaard urges Haaland signing
Martin Odegaard has urged international teammate Erling Haaland to join him at Arsenal.
The Borussia Dortmund striker is set for a big-money move this summer, with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City said to be edging towards landing his signature. And Odegaard has now said “if he comes to England he needs to come to us of course”.
But he has admitted that while the two players are close, he “doesn’t know” what Haaland will end up doing.
