Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is in need of reinforcements this summer if he is to lead the Gunners back to the top four in the Premier League. Of course, the north Londoners missed out on Champions League football with a fifth placed finish last season, and there could be repercussions in the market.
A new striker has been the main objective thus far, and Manchester City ‘s Gabriel Jesus has emerged as Arsenal’s no. 1 target. However, interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid has made that plight increasingly difficult.
Meanwhile, Arteta also needs to add quality to his midfield, and Leicester ‘s Youri Tielemans would certainly provide that following links to the capital. There are various other options though, and Arteta will have his eye out for the right man.
At the back, William Saliba has confirmed he will return to the Emirates this summer, so Arteta looks relatively well set in that department, though he may need to find another right-back with Djed Spence on the verge of joining Tottenham in a £20million deal.

Arteta ‘angry’ at transfer approach
Mikel Arteta has been left frustrated by Arsenal’s ‘indecision’ in the transfer market this summer, a new report has claimed.
The Gunners are looking to build on last season’s fifth-placed finish, with Arteta desperate to add some fresh faces to his current squad.
However, Arsenal are seemingly no closer to striking any deals – and a new report from The Daily Mail has revealed that Arteta is growing increasingly frustrated with how things are panning out on the transfer front.
The Spaniard is reportedly less than impressed that all major acquisitions have to be signed off by the club’s American owners. And Arteta is considered that the approach could cost Arsenal the signing of their top summer target, Gabriel Jesus, who is now also being courted by Chelsea and Real Madrid.
