Todd Boehly’s summer transfer plans with Chelsea are finely poised with at least three signings drawing nearer.
The American billionaire is keen to welcome in a new era for the Stamford Bridge club with at least one marquee signing, and has dived into life at the club as he aims to bring in a number of players in key positions. Boehly has had to become personally involved in transfers following the departures of chairman Bruce Buck and transfer guru Marina Granovskaia.
The Blues will push to sign Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling this week and are set to submit an offer for the England international to their Premier League rivals. Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele will decide on his future in the next 72 hours with his contract at Barcelona coming to an end and the Blues keen to bring the Frenchman to west London.
And in further exciting news for Chelsea fans, Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt wants to push through a summer move to Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Blues push for Sterling
Chelsea are set to make their approach to sign Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.
The England winger has emerged as new owner Todd Boehly’s top transfer targets after it emerged that City may be willing to sell Sterling, who has just one year left on his contract at the Etihad, for around £55million. Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is thought to be a huge admirer of Sterling and is keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge, with Boehly now tasked with getting the deal over the line.
And that could even happen as early as this week with the Blues readying an offer and City not planning on standing in his way if the right offer comes in.
Dembele to make decision
Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is set to decide on his future in the coming days.
The Frenchman’s contract in Spain expires on June 30, although Barca have tabled an offer for an extension. Chelsea are among a number of clubs being linked with the winger as they aim to reunite him with his Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.
Talks have taken place between Barcelona coach Xavi and Dembele’s agent Moussa Sissoko, but they came to no final agreement. And that could leave the door open for Chelsea to bring the player to Stamford Bridge.
De Ligt wants Chelsea move
Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt could leave the Italian outfit for Chelsea this summer.
The defender wants to push through the move, with his current club ready to let him go for around £70million. Thomas Tuchel wants two new centre-backs to replace Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, whose contracts at Stamford Bridge expired at the end of the season.
With the Dutch defender keen on a move, talks could accelerate with Chelsea as they look to make a huge statement signing.
