Chelsea transfer round up: Blues tracking £30m midfielder as Premier League duo eye star

Chelsea are tracking £30million PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.

The Blues are planning a huge summer overhaul with Thomas Tuchel ready to rip up his underachieving FA Cup finalists.

Sangare, 24, has been impressive for his Dutch club domestically and in Europe this season.

Despite their exit at the hands of Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester side, Sangare has stood out to such an extent he has been tipped as a potential target for new Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag and Spurs boss Antonio Conte.

Standing at 6ft 3in, Sangare made his name as a teenager with French club Toulouse, impressing with his composure on the ball and with his ball-winning skills.

He developed further after moving to PSV in September 2020, with his consistency and his passing range, particularly under pressure. Sangare is one of a number of defensive midfielders under consideration by Tuchel with Chelsea unwilling to meet the £150million valuation of West Ham ’s Declan Rice.

Chelsea have managed to win just two of their last seven matches. They tumbled out of title contention at the turn of the year, were beaten by Liverpool in February’s League Cup Final and were put out of the Champions League in the quarter-final by Real Madrid.

Premier League pair eye Broja

Chelsea striker Armando Broja is a target for Brighton.

The highly-rated Albanian, 20, spent the season on loan at Southampton and attracted a string of admirers with his performances.

Broja hit nine goals in 37 games for the south coast club and Southampton boss Ralph Hassenhuttl wants to sign him permanently.

Brighton boss Graham Potter is a fan of Broja as he looks to improve his club’s firepower while West Ham boss David Moyes is also keen.

Both clubs would be keen on another loan for the marksman who signed a new contract at Chelsea last year until at least the summer of 2026.

But Napoli have a long-standing interest in the rising star and are set to make their move with their current striker, Victor Osimhen targeted by a number of bigger clubs this summer.

Southampton believe they have the edge, having used their relationship with Chelsea to sign the likes of Ryan Bertrand and Tina Livramento in the past.

But Napoli, third in Serie A, believe they could tempt Broja to join them with the prospect of European football.
