England unchanged for Norway clash

England are unchanged from their clash with Austria just five days ago, with the same starting XI from that 1-0 victory set to be used tonight.

Sarina Wiegman has opted to stick with the same squad for the Group A clash with Norway, in which she will hope for her side to build some consistency throughout this tournament.

Among those who have retained their places is last week’s match winner Beth Mead, who starts on the right wing of a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Last time out

Both England and Norway kicked-off their Euro 2022 campaigns with victories in their opening Group A matches last week, leaving them both at the top of the group ahead of today’s game.

England secured a 1-0 victory over Austria in the opening game of the tournament on Thursday at Old Trafford, with Beth Mead’s 16th minute strike enough to claim all three points.

Norway then went and produced an impressive performance of their own just 24 hours later, as they comfortably saw off Northern Ireland 4-1 at St. Mary’s Stadium to go top of Group A.

Big night ahead

It’s a big night ahead for the Lionesses.

They got their Euro 2022 bid off to a winning start vs Austria but face a tougher test at the hands of Norway.

It promises to be another great occasion in front of a big crowd, this time in Brighton after a sell-out opener at Old Trafford.
