EA Sports FIFA 22 has been added to Xbox Game Pass this month, along with a few other gaming titles.
Players that are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass can now play FIFA 22 for free after its inclusion in June’s release of free titles, along with Narak: Bladepoint and Far Cry 5. Players will be able to access all game modes including Career Mode, FIFA Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs and Volta Football from June 23, 2022.
It is an exciting time to be able to play FIFA 22 with the return of the Shapeshifters Ultimate Team promo, meaning players have the chance of earning, packing or purchasing boosted player items in-game. The Shapeshifters Team 1 squad featured huge attribute boosts, position changes, weak foot upgrades and skill moves upgrades, with players like Lionel Messi, Heung-min Son, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Eden Hazard and Alphonso Davies.

The Shapeshifters Team 2 squad is set to be released on Friday, June 26, 2022, along with a token system, allowing players to earn packs and special player items through playing the game and completing objectives or Squad Building Challenges. FIFA 22 was previously available to play for free for PlayStation players after EA announced it would be included as part of the PS Plus free games selection in May.
Now Xbox players have the opportunity to play FIFA 22 for free, if they are signed up for the Xbox Game Pass. EA also announced that EA Play members will have access to FIFA 22 for free this month, which could see more and more players on the game as we head towards FIFA 23. Xbox Game Pass for console is priced at £7.99 per month, with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate priced at £10.99 per month, which also includes Xbox Live Gold and EA Play.
FIFA 23 is set to be the last title in EA Sports’ popular franchise series after EA and FIFA failed to agree a deal to continue their historic and profitable partnership after 30 years of working together. EA Sports are set to name their new football simulation game ‘EA Sports FC’, beginning from next year with FIFA set to rival EA by releasing their own football simulation game.
