Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp reveals Fabinho replacement as Thiago sends FA Cup message

Jurgen Klopp has decided who will play in Liverpool’s defensive midfield slot while Fabinho battles back from injury.

Fabinho was forced off with a hamstring problem in the 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night, ruling him out of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Chelsea and the Premier League encounters against Southampton and Wolves. And it means Klopp will play Jordan Henderson in the holding midfield role that Fabinho has made his own at Anfield as he offered an update on whether the Brazilian will be fit for the Champions League final.

It comes as Thiago Alcantara has sent Chelsea a warning ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final as he said the Reds are ‘ready’ for Wembley. And Kevin De Bruyne has sent Liverpool a classy title message as the Reds fight it out with Manchester City to win the Premier League.
