Mohamed Salah would reportedly prefer to stay in the Premier League rather than move abroad should he leave Liverpool.
The Egypt international’s contract at Anfield expires in a year’s time and the forward is yet to agree terms on a new deal. That has led to speculation he could move on, although the Reds are thought to be happy to lose him in a year’s time rather than cash in on him this summer while they have the chance.
And reports have now claimed Salah would have no qualms over joining a Premier League rival if he does depart the Anfield outfit. It comes as Christian Vieri has identified Napoli forward Victor Osimhen as the ideal replacement for Sadio Mane.
Meanwhile Jurgen Klopp’s view on Mane’s potential departure is already clear – following his comments when Philippe Coutinho left the club.

Salah’s Premier League preference
Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah could reportedly join one of the Reds’ Premier League rivals if he does not sign a new contract at Anfield.
The 29-year-old Egyptian forward’s contract expires at the end of next season, and negotiations for a new deal have stalled. Reports suggest that the former Chelsea and Roma player has already considered his options and would prefer to stay in the Premier League rather than move abroad.
That has led to rumours that Manchester City, Man United or Chelsea could all have the financial muscle to tempt the winger, although it remains to be seen which of their offers he would genuinely consider.
Mane replacement identified
Jurgen Klopp has been told to sign Napoli forward Victor Osimhen should Sadio Mane leave Liverpool this summer.
Mane has reportedly told the Reds he wishes to leave the club this summer, with his contract due to expire in a year’s time. Bayern Munich are thought to be keen on landing Mane although their reported £25million valuation of the forward is believed to be a little way off of Liverpool’s.
And Italy legend Christian Vieri has told Klopp he should bring in Osimhen as the “perfect” replacement for Mane if he does leave.
Klopp’s view on Mane move clear
Jurgen Klopp may well have warned Sadio Mane against leaving Liverpool – if his past comments are anything to go by.
The Reds boss famously advised Philippe Coutinho not to leave the club when he moved to Barcelona in 2018. He told the Brazilian that “they will end up building a statue in your honour” if Coutinho decided to stay at Liverpool.
But, in a warning that should perhaps now be heeded by Mane, the Reds boss added that if a player moves to Barcelona, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid, “you will be just another player”.
