Liverpool news: Reds’ two Erling Haaland alternatives as Jurgen Klopp worries vindicated

Liverpool already know their two Erling Haaland alternatives as Premier League title rivals Manchester City look to wrap up the signing of the Borussia Dortmund forward.

Pep Guardiola appears set to finally get his transfer wish and secure a world-class striker after missing out on Tottenham’s Harry Kane last summer. But Liverpool will know that two signings they make in the summer could be even more productive than the Norwegian forward.

It comes as Sir Alex Ferguson’s worries about Jurgen Klopp have been proved right as the Reds continue to dominate Manchester United. Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo has personally thanked Liverpool supporters for the touching tribute to his son on Tuesday night.

Ronaldo sends thanks

And Ronaldo has now sent a message to the fans who took part in the tribute as he sent them his thanks.

And the Reds know that getting both deals over the line could give them the same sort of boost City are about to get with Haaland.
