Logan Paul advises brother Jake to stop “silly” call-out of Michael Bisping

Logan Paul thinks his brother Jake was “silly” to call for a fight with now-retired UFC champion Michael Bisping.

Jake named Bisping on his six-man hitlist of potential opponents ahead of his return to the ring. The two engaged in a back and forth after Jake offered Bisping $1million if he could get sanctioned for a fight.

After finding a location for the fight, Bisping told Jake to try and fight fellow UFC legend Anderson Silva instead after the YouTube star asked Bisping to prove he was no longer UFC contract. Logan wishes his brother would have spoken to him before calling out Bisping as he would have advised against it.

“I felt like that was silly,” Logan said on the Impaulsive podcast about his brother’s call out. “I wish I would have advised Jake not to do that it was just a waste of breath. I wish I probably could have told him to not [call Bisping out].”

Logan was then told that his brother could box Silva, to which he replied: “Let him [Jake] get a little better, cause Anderson boxes and has boxed for over a decade.” Silva is 3-1 as a professional boxer and beat former world titleholder Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last year.

Bisping was offered $500,000 to fight Paul last March, but he turned down the offer after demanding $1million plus a pay-per-view bonus. Paul went on to fight Ben Askren instead, knocking out the former UFC welterweight in under two minutes.

Paul has since fought Tyron Woodley twice, outpointing the ex-UFC champion last August and knocking him out in their rematch later that year. ‘The Problem Child’ has been linked to a fight with former ruby star Sonny Bill Williams next with talks opening up between the pair.

“There are a lot of people on my list,” Paul told Mirror Fighting about his next opponent. “I would love to take out an Australian, as much as I love everyone from Australia, yeah that would be a big fight [Williams is from New Zealand]. I think we both have bright careers ahead of us and at some point I do see us getting in the ring together and handling it.”

Paul is hoping for a return to the ring in August, something that matches up well with Williams’ timeline. The YouTube star has also included the likes of former world champions Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather on his hitlist.
