Rue Agthonis Unveils Spring Summer 2023 RTW Collection At London Fashion Week

Following the brand’s successful runway debut at the London Fashion Week in February 2022, Rue Agthonis returns with SS23 RTW collection featuring glossy lace, iridescent organza, metallic sequins, and its signature tweed.

Showcasing at the palatial Corinthia Ballroom at the Corinthia Hotel, Rue Agthonis’ SS23 collection celebrates elegance, strength and feminine innocence, emphasizing the harmony between all three qualities that are often viewed as mutually exclusive. Radiating youthful excitement and an uplifted appreciation for female powers, the collection in a variety of jewel-tones and neutral shades are perfectly reflected against the backdrop of the Ballroom’s opulent architecture and soft color palette.

“Beauty always lies in its authenticity.” Says Syl, designer and founder of Rue Agthonis, referring to what her brand represents. Often drawing inspiration from a myriad of art forms including theatre, film and paintings, the inspiration from Syl’s most recent pieces comes from Gustav Klimt, whose influences are gracefully and notably woven throughout the entire SS23 collection.

Unveiling a joyful yet demure new season, the SS23 collection sees the marriage of contrasting fabrics (think tweed and see-through organza, or silky lace with heavy embellishments) and unique designs that embody the notion of both sophistication and youth. Known for its classic fabrics and silhouettes, the addition of metallic veils, feathers and sequin details help to create a contemporary yet playful vibe that’s further elevated from the previous Rue Agthonis collections.

The SS23 looks continues to represent the brand’s ethos of “Love, Quality and Positive Beauty”. Forever encouraging the appreciation for oneself through her designs, Syl wants to remind everyone with the new collection to be their most optimistic selves — “making sure we always search for the sparkles life has to offer, and keeping hold of our child-like innocence and creativity even as we grow up.”
